Peter Byrne – Drums
Peter has had sticks in his hands from the age of 7 and a passion for drumming ever since! Peter achieved top results in all grades with Trinity College London, studying with Shaun Forde. This lead to his own professional teaching career, now with over 10 years of experience in teaching all levels, abilities and styles. His students have always excelled in their Trinity Guildhall exams, many of whom have since played with some of the best known bands in Cork and progressed to full time music careers in Ireland and abroad.
Over the years as a studio musician Peter has played for live recordings and worked in various studios and radio stations with a number of bands covering diverse styles. Peter is currently signed to Red Light Management and Fintage House Records as the drummer for Marc O’Reilly. His music career is mostly dominated by live performances throughout Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands. Most recently as the drummer for Marc O’Reilly he has played Electric Picnic, Other Voices and is featured on the album ‘Whole Lotta Live – Best of Today FM Sessions’.
